Abstract

Migration has emerged as a defining global phenomenon reshaping individual and collective identities. This study examines how migration influences social identity formation and cultural transformation within host and origin societies. Through a sociological lens, it explores issues such as cultural assimilation, identity negotiation, and hybridization processes among migrant communities. The paper highlights how migration challenges traditional constructs of ethnicity, language, and belonging, resulting in multidimensional identity frameworks. Findings suggest that cultural transformation is neither linear nor uniform but reflects continuous adaptation, resistance, and synthesis within transnational social fields.
